Turton Consort

The Turton Consort is a professional vocal ensemble founded by Joseph Judge, and originally formed of singers who studied in Manchester. Since 2013, members of the consort have performed a variety of solo and ensemble recitals at Turton Tower, a Grade I listed Tudor manor house in Lancashire, from which the consort takes its name, and other locations around the North West. The consort is used to performing to the highest calibre, equally accomplished in repertoire from the Medieval and Renaissance periods right through to Modern and Contemporary works.

Engagements have included performing at the launch of the Whittingham Lives project at UCLan, Preston (whittinghamlives.org.uk), and opening the Raimondi exhibition at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester. The consort regularly sing live on Radio 4 for the BBC Daily Service.
